PTA

Lambourn School PTA

The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a link between the parents, teachers and community with the common aim of advancing and enriching the education of children through the provision of essential school supplies, extra-curricular activities and fun events. We hope that our input puts the ‘cherry on the cake’ of the children’s school experience and provides happy lasting memories.

Our PTA is a registered charity (charity no; 1185123) and is governed by the PARENTKIND model constitution of March 2021.

As a parent or carer of a child at the school you are automatically part of the PTA and the team welcomes your participation whether that’s as a committee member, occasional volunteer or by joining in the fun at events and fundraising activities.

Our Achievements include:
Funding Resources such as the pirate ship, trim trail, defibrillator, reading resources, SATS revision books, Coronation souvenirs, Scrapstore membership and other educational schemes.
Enriching Experiences such as Santa visits with personalised letters and gifts, Easter egg hunts and Easter Bunny visit.
Provision of Transport to help make school trips accessible to all.
Offering Second Hand School Uniforms to ease financial pressure on families and to help reduce waste.

We have done this by:
Organising Fundraising events such as discos, movie nights, Mother’s day markets, a colour run, summer and Christmas fairs and Christmas wreath making workshops.
Selling Raffle tickets with donations of prizes from the local community or parents/carers.
Selling refreshments at sports day or ice creams on Friday afternoons during the summer term.
Getting involved with community events such as the Jubilee picnic at the sports club.
