British Science Week 2022
The theme for British Science Week this year was growth. We marked the occasion with lots of fabulous learning opportunities.
In F2 the children incubated nine chicken eggs, they were delighted with the arrival of eight fluffy chicks! Over the next few weeks the children observed their feathery friends grow and develop, getting hands on with daily feeding and bathing. Super science F2!
Year 5 were out and about at North Fields, taking part in a morning of tree planting. Not only were the children able to get involved with the digging and planting, they also learnt about the wider environmental benefits that growing trees has on our planet. Super science Year 5!
Our Science Lead, Miss Caswell, set every year group the challenge of growing the tallest sunflower. Each class has been nurturing their seeds with the hope of claiming first place. Good luck super scientists!
