Getting Ready for a Day at Lambourn Pre-School
Dress for Mess, Play, and Outdoor Fun!
At Lambourn pre-school, there’s no need for a uniform—though some children love wearing it to feel part of the bigger school community! Our days are filled with exciting, hands-on activities that your child chooses for themselves. Whether it’s painting, digging, baking, or splashing in water play, things can get a little messy (in the best way!).
While we do have aprons available, our little learners are busy exploring and might forget to pop them on—so please don’t send your child in their best clothes. Comfy, practical clothing is perfect for a day full of creativity and adventure.
Footwear matters too! Your child should wear shoes they can put on and fasten by themselves, helping to build confidence and independence.
Outdoor Play – Every Day, Come Rain or Shine!
We make the most of our amazing outdoor space every single day, whatever the weather. To help your child enjoy their outdoor adventures, you’ll need to provide:

Waterproof clothing

Wellington boots
These should be left at school so we’re always ready for play, puddles, and muddy fun! Please check them regularly to make sure they still fit comfortably.
