¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Welcome to Lambourn Church of England Primary School

Nestled in the heart of the stunning Lambourn Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – our school benefits from extensive grounds and exceptional facilities. Our beautiful setting provides unique opportunities for outdoor learning and exploration. We are proud to be one of the only primary schools in West Berkshire with an outdoor heated swimming pool, allowing us to offer free weekly swimming lessons for all pupils in Years 1 to 6, as well as “Stay and Swim” sessions for our Reception children in terms 5 and 6.

At Lambourn Church of England Primary School, children are at the heart of everything we do. Every decision is guided by what will help them flourish – personally, academically and spiritually. We are proud that our children learn to act with integrity and kindness. Our recent Ofsted inspection (July 2025) recognised this, grading the school Outstanding for Personal Development and Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes, with all other areas rated Good. These results are a testament to the strength of our ethos, our committed staff and the wonderful children we serve.
